| Comment: | Steve: I just wanted to let you and your readers know that the 5th annual ride to "Support our Troops" was held in Kokomo this past Sunday, and what a great event. It was my first ride in such an event and the local Abate Club has had a total of 900 bikers over the past 4 years. This year there were 1038 bikers for the event. What a turn out... I never saw such patriotism in all my life along the 75 mile route from Kokomo to Tipton to Elwood and north on sr 37 to sr 35 and back to Kokomo. People lined the streets in the towns and rural areas with banners, flags, and thank you's all along the way, Anyone who says that Patriotism is dead is wrong.... Roger Weaver, first time rider.....I will ride in this event again. |
